All of our doctors are members of the following professional societies

He has practiced Dentistry at this location in Oneonta since 1981, moving with his family back to where he and his wife, Diane, both graduated from SUNY College at Oneonta. Although he is now semi-retired, he helps out at the practice on occasion.

For over 20 years, Dr. Thompson has given quality care to the people of her community. As a general dentist, her focus is to improve one's dental health through education, prevention, and restorations, which include crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, and root canal therapy.
When Dr. Thompson leaves the office, she goes home to her second job, being a mom to her 16 year old son, William. She likes to travel to see distant friends, participate in wine pairing dinners, kayaking, cooking and a good campfire
Dr. Scott J Heiland
Associate Dentist
Dr. Heiland joined us in 2013, having practiced in the area since 1988. He was previously affiliated with Northern Catskill Dental and Fox Hospital before returning to private group practice with Drs. Aaronson, Thompson, and Lavine. Dr. Heiland graduated from SUNY Buffalo and continued his studies at The University of Texas Health System, Baylor College of Dentistry, receiving his D.D.S. degree at what is now Texas A&M, BCD.
A native of Iowa, raised in Minnesota, upstate New York, and then Texas, he and his family have called Milford home since moving back here. And he has re-embraced our four seasons of outdoor activities (especially bicycling and ice hockey). He dabbles in genealogy and historical preservation through photography, and hopes to have the opportunity in the future to resume the annual medical mission work that he enjoyed for many years in Latin America.
