Registered Dental Hygienist
Athena has your dental care as her first priority. She rejoined the practice 5 years ago after previously working here in the late 1990's. She is a graduate of Broome Community College's School of Dental Hygiene and also attended SUNY College at Oneonta. Athena enjoys practicing dental hygiene as she loves interacting with people and teaching others about dentistry and dental hygiene.
She happily commutes from her home on S. Mountain in Binghamton where she lives with her husband and four little dogs. In her free time she enjoys cooking, reading, gardening, and entertaining friends and family.
Annastasia Valmas-Mann, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Ana is a graduate from SUNY Broome in Binghamton, N.Y. with an AAS Degree in Dental Hygiene and is certified in Anesthetic and Nitrous Oxide administration. She is very thorough and conscientious about her work. If you have any questions or oral care problems, she would be happy to discuss what preventive options are available that would work best for you.
An Oneonta resident, she lives with her husband Nathan and three children. Outside of the office, she enjoys practicing interior design, sharing great meals with friends and family, running, and gardening.
Danielle Mattice
Dental Assistant
Danielle has been with the practice for many years and patients are relieved when they see her familiar, smiling face. She has completed her coursework through Elmira OCM BOCES for Dental Assisting. She has trained well, and has mastered many duties in the office.
Hope Trong, C.D.A.
Certified Dental Assistant
Hope joined our team in October 2010, with a previous 10 years' experience at a dental office in Cooperstown, from where she originates. Although in the final stages of completing the board exams for her certification, you will more recently find her transitioning into a front office position. Her versatility makes her very knowledgeable in many aspects of our office. She is always willing to learn and help, making her an asset to our staff and patients.
When not in the office, Hope enjoys quiet time at home cooking, learning about nutrition, gardening and home projects.
Lynne Shepardson
Receptionist
Lynne is the senior receptionist with the practice. There's probably nothing she can't answer for you. She joined the practice in 1997 and has gained extensive knowledge of dental procedures, as well as insurance and billing guidelines. Lynne is a graduate of SUNY College of Oneonta with a BA in Studio Art and a minor in Art History.
When not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading, sewing, and running her own crafting business.
Laura Sherrill
Receptionist
Laura is very concerned about your dental health and will be calling to see if you have any questions about your care and will be scheduling appointments for you and your family. Laura's cheerful attitude makes her well-liked by the staff and patients alike.
Laura and her family moved to Oneonta in 2005. She and her husband have 4 children, but her favorite role is being a grandma.
